Robert Half is assisting a manufacturing organization with the recruiting for an entry level Accounting Assistant to join their team reporting to the Controller. The Accounting Assistant will match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent role in the Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, area offering full benefits with paid time off! Responsibilities:- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances- General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Manually or electronically post financial information
