The Credit and Collections Specialist will be responsible for analyzing the paying habits of customers who are delinquent by contacting them to collect payment or resolve past due status.

Essential Functions

• Monitor accounts to identify past due balances and contact customers to collect payment or resolve issues with delinquent invoices.
• Take actions to encourage timely payments.
• Escalate past due accounts as necessary for management review.
• Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections.
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues.
• Reconcile accounts to ensure an accurate accounts receivable portfolio.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days expected to work are Monday – Friday and for 40 hours. There is flexibility in schedule of 7-4 or 8-5. There is rarely weekend or evening work, but there is a possibility during busy times of the month and year.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in similar position
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associates degree in Accounting
• ECi E-Automate
