Summary/Objectives

The primary responsibility of the Regional Shop Manager is management of Shop processes and performance of an assigned region within RJ Young’s footprint. This person will be liaison between Sales, ER submissions group, Distribution Managers, assigned Regional Shop activity, and Operations Managers. They will report to Region’s Operations Manager.

The Regional Shop Manager is responsible for standardizing Shop processes within their assigned RJ Young region. They will coordinate between Sales, ER submissions group, Distribution Managers and Operations Manager to ensure timely delivery of equipment. They will ensure technical training of Shop personnel is maintained. They will be responsible for the review of assigned Shop Technicians. Recruit potential candidates, have screening interviews, and assist the Operations Manager with selection interviews. The Regional Shop Manager will assist the Operations Manager to improve shop processes.

• Motivate assigned personnel to work independently.
• Possess diplomacy skills to coordinate between Sales needs and Shop capabilities.
• Responsible for building and maintaining a productive shop team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other industry related software (Eautomate experience a plus).
• Computer and networking skills.
• Schedule machines for Shop personnel and complete necessary documentation.
• Communicate with internal personnel to ensure machines are set up timely and correctly.
• Serve as an escalation point to assist on machines as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role will be responsible for managing a team of Shop Technicians. Number of direct reports will vary upon demand.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a warehouse environment. Extreme temperatures are possible. Some time will be spent in an office.

Physical Demands

Occasional lifting of up to 75lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full time, Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week

Some after-hours work as necessary

Travel

Travel may be necessary to other branch locations.
