Riverstone Communities is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Hampton, VA

We are currently seeking a qualified Level 2 Maintenance Technician for our Circle Mobile Home Park located at 6029 A. Jefferson Ave Newport News, VA 23605
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
- Attend daily morning staff meetings to communicate goals and objectives
- Oversee the curb appeal and maintenance of the community and make sure it is up to Riverstone Communities’ standards
- Picking up trash around the community
- Regular groundskeeping such as lawn mowing, planting, weeding/weed eating, etc
- Residential repairs, rehabilitations and home cleanouts including replacing/installing floors, installing siding and skirting, installing/replacing doors and windows and painting
- Diagnosing and repairing residential water/sewer leaks
- Read and replace water meters (if applicable to your property)
- Replace breakers, fuses, light switches
- Build stairs and ramps, frame doors and windows, install landscaping timbers
- Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems
- Capability to complete day to day duties with minimal supervision
- Complete maintenance work orders in an efficient and timely manner
- Adhere to all safety laws and regulations
- Conduct regular inventory checks on equipment and supplies
- Work with your manager to help coordinate food banks and resident events to help support our mission
- 1 years of experience in multi-family or commercial property maintenance OR a technical degree in Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry or HVAC.
- Ability to be very active - walking, bending, standing and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Complete general maintenance and repair work as needed
- Basic computer skills, i.e. email and internet
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle (drive to different locations on the property) with a valid driver’s license
- Be comfortable with heights
- Residential plumbing and electrical (prior experience or willing to learn)
- Residential painting (interior and exterior)
- Roofing and carpentry skills
- Mechanical (replacing door locks and handles)
- Drywall and mudding (prior experience or willing to learn)
