Summary:

Application Coordinators have primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of EPIC applications. They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the workflows to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other and with the respective department representatives, they design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow. They work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team.
Experience/Education Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project leadership and subject matter experts
  • Ability and interest to learn the software and increase their knowledge over time
  • Operational experience
  • Ability to keep projects on target, delivering with quality and according to specifications
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • Education in field of expertise desired

    License or Certification Requirements:

  • Must obtain appropriate EPIC certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with trainers in the design and development of training programs to support workflows to be implemented
  • Communicating project status with each other, with department representatives, and with higher levels; provide formal status reporting on a periodic basis to supervisory staff as requested.
  • Coordinating and facilitating meetings as assigned; documenting proceedings.
  • Designing, building, and validating the application to conform to desired workflows.
  • Following established guidelines for testing, documentation, and change control.
  • Identifying potential system enhancements.
  • Implementing approved changes based on customer- designated priorities.
  • Obtaining and maintaining Epic certification in assigned application module.
  • Supporting end-users as needed
  • Tracking, updating, and resolving issues
