SUMMARY: High-profile field sales management position within the Trade (C&I) Channel. Responsibilities include managing and motivating a factory sales force, key customer interaction and responsibility, and oversight of agent sales partners if applicable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Manage the overall regional business to achieve maximum sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain and develop strong relationships with key distributor partners in the region, acting as primary interface and voice of the customer to internal teams in operations, finance, and product marketing.
* Develop, implement, track, and report on regional sales growth plans and target account opportunities.
* Provide overall management expertise for assigned key accounts with focus on product mix, new product introductions, and opportunities to grow share.
* Provide the business with forecasts and opportunity pipelines on an ongoing basis via a CRM tool.
* Achieve regional sales targets by growing current customer mix, new business development and seating new products; participate in both high-level and local strategy-setting to help achieve these targets.
* Motivate and manage a direct factory salesforce.
* Communicate market trends, competitive info, new opportunities, and the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be able to ensure the correct delegation, execution and follow up of work; ensure quality standards and policies are being met; able to set expectations and manage a team.Provide disciplined performance management for a sales team; define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
* Strong relationship-development skills resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial customer relationships.
* Proven success in effectively managing directly and through influence by prioritizing tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines.
* Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the LEDVANCE organization to achieve business results effectively and professionally.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas a suggestions clearly and effectively to all levels.
* Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external customers, from sales employees to C-level executives.
* Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks as well as respond to upper management requests in a timely manner.
* Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* BS plus minimum 10 years of experience, or master's degree plus minimum 8 years' experience required in a sales channel utilizing distributor partners.
* Position incumbent averages 10-15 years of sales experience.
ENVIRONMENT :
* Valid driver's license and able to travel without restrictions.
* Position requires 50-75% regional travel.
* Position will work from a remote home office when not traveling.
OTHER :
* Position is not eligible for relocation or work sponsorship.
* Position is eligible for LEDVANCE employee referral bonus.
* Position may be posted in more than one location for a single opening.
