Job Overview

As the Senior Director, Product Marketing, you will own a designated segment of our core product offerings, leading the product marketing team responsible for that segment. Provide strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the success and growth of both the product portfolio and the team. Reporting to our VP of Product Marketing, you'll drive clarity amidst ambiguity, inspire your team, and apply your expertise across all aspects of product marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Messaging: Develop and optimize positioning and messaging for the designated product portfolio to empower sales teams, drive successful product launches, and ensure messaging resonates across all market-facing channels.
  • Product Expertise: Cultivate strong ties with Product leadership, ensuring a deep understanding of our current and future offering, lead the development of impactful product demos, and ensure that all PMM work is guided with deep knowledge of our products.
  • Market Intelligence: Be the authority on our buyers, understanding their needs, preferences, and purchasing behavior.
  • Sales & Customer Success Enablement: Equip our sales teams with winning strategies, materials, and market insights to increase deal closures and competitive advantage.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with Corporate Communications and Content Strategy teams to craft a comprehensive content strategy for your product portfolio, tailored to the buyer's journey.
  • Thought Leadership: Establish our presence as industry thought leaders through engaging presentations, articles, and briefings.
  • Competitive Analysis: Gather, analyze, and respond to competitive intelligence, maintaining a deep understanding of our competition and market positioning.
  • Campaign Collaboration: Partner with marketing and campaign teams to translate strategies into high-impact marketing campaigns.
  • Team Management Experience: Lead, develop, and inspire a team of product marketing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning. Provide regular feedback and performance coaching to drive individual and team excellence.

Requirements

  • 10 years of software product marketing experience, preferably with experience working with Intuit or similar technology partners.
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and inspiring PMM teams.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to strategically price, package, and position technical products.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making and achieve marketing metrics.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and well-organized with a self-starter mentality.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
