We are currently seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support a law firm partner specializing in personal injury and criminal defense cases. You will join a growing legal practice that handles personal injury, criminal law, family law and immigration cases from inception to settlement.

Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of experience in a law firm and experience in case management.

Fluency In English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

· Proofread, write, file and manage correspondence, court filings, contracts, forms and other related documents

· E-filing pleadings through electronic filing portals

· Prepare cases for demand and litigation by establishing and organizing court filings, medical records, liens, health insurance payments into file database

· Communicate with clients regarding treatment updates, case updates, and coordinating events

· Track costs by verifying outstanding balances with providers

Required Skills and Experience

· 2 years of experience as a legal assistant

· Minimum 1 year experience with personal injury law

· Language: Fluency in Spanish is required

· Experience with TrialWorks is a plus
