Our client is relied upon by investors globally to oversee their investments by striving for the perfect equilibrium between risk and return. Although they are recognized for their innovative work in systemic investing, they also possess expertise in fields involving fundamental analysis or portfolio manager discretion. They are looking for a Quantitative Analyst who will direct numerical techniques and write software to create, explore, and execute statistical models for their electronic financial trading tactics. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.

Quantitative Analyst’s Responsibilities and Duties

• Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and trends.
• Building mathematical models and algorithms to predict market behavior, asset prices, or other financial metrics.
• Writing and debugging code in languages like Python, R, or MATLAB to implement quantitative models and automate data analysis processes.
• Staying updated on market developments, economic indicators, and relevant academic research to refine and improve quantitative models.

Quantitative Analyst’s Qualifications and Skills

• The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. within quant, machine learning, LLM (large language models), or statistics.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
• Must have numerous publications.
