Ricci Sales Agency is Hiring a Business Development Representative Near New York, NY

Ricci Sales Agency is a full-service lighting agency that partners with leading lighting brands to facilitate the purchase and specification of decorative lighting for lighting showrooms, the interior design trade and builders. We are currently working with over 1000 designers in the Metro NY market. We represent some of the most sought-after lighting brands in the decorative lighting world. Our comprehensive offerings and services allow us to provide exquisite solutions for the most unique bespoke luxury applications all the way down to cost effective lighting for multi-unit developments.

THE CHALLENGE:

Ricci Sales Agency is currently expanding our sales force to keep pace with our growing business. We are in search of a talented Business Development Representative to join our team servicing clients in the NY area (NYC, Long Island, Westchester and Fairfield county CT).

Someone who likes people and is gregarious, passionate, internally-driven, organized, disciplined and very persistent, that likes the hunt will be successful. We will teach you everything you need to know about lighting, product application and our distributors. The primary focus will be working with all classes of trade customers, and furniture stores in one of the most lucrative markets in the country.

WHAT YOU’LL TAKE ON:

  • Direct work with our existing client base to increase the use of our lighting brands.
  • Prospect and develop new leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and referrals and those that our internal team will provide.
  • Build and develop relationships with clients to become an extension of their business.
  • Present brands and established product training to existing and potential clients in the attached territory. Attend and work trade shows at the furniture market in High Point NC in April and October.
  • Follow-up is key to success with busy customers today. Building and maintaining a follow-up system on opportunities from email, text and phone work is required. Maintaining our CRM on open work is simple and expected.
  • Provide immediate quotes on products/jobs, to facilitate a pipeline of future business.
  • Become an expert brand ambassador with knowledge of product, factory pricing, programs, tools available.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Experience in sales, preferably in a similar industry or role.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Excellent self-motivation, initiative and outstanding customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to assess and prioritize (with flexibility to change course as needed), as well as proven problem resolution and decision-making skills
  • Digital proficiency and use of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM.
  • A college degree is preferred
