Rhombus Power seeks a highly motivated UI/UX Developer to join our fast-growing team that is delivering complex enterprise solutions.

It will be based in either Washington, DC (Right on the Yellow Line), or at our HQ in Palo Alto, California.

Responsibilities 

• Work closely product/design team to vet and refine requirements, design concepts and prototypes, then bring those design artifacts to life
• Identify areas for improvement from the code base, to processes. Champion best practices and standards and push for their implementation. 
• Proactively look for ways to improve existing products.
• Contribute to our nascent design system.
• Create and maintain accurate guidelines and repositories of design specifications and components to ensure a cohesive, consistent framework for UI implementations
• Be engaged in helping develop team process and practices

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of work experience as a UI/UX Developer for web applications
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript and UI Frameworks (React, Angular etc) and familiarity with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind etc)
• Competency in CSS pre-processing. SCSS preferred
• Familiarity with source code version control, preferably Git repos
• Experience contributing to and maintaining design systems, including component documentation
• Demonstrable expertise in UX/UI development for web applications
• Competency with design tools like Figma and xD. 
• An eye for the details understanding of design principles 
• Have a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• US Citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, Web Design, or related fields
• Experience with graphing/charting libraries, HighCharts preferably
• Experience with JS based interactive maps
• Experience with Storybook
• Portfolio, Demos or pet projects to demonstrate your skills
• Active Government security clearance of Secret or higher
