Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a UI/UX Front-End Developer. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables. Key to the success of this position is the effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status.

Work location is Washington, DC area and has hybrid work options available for those who demonstrate effectiveness to work some days remote.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of modern web applications
• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implement the incremental delivery of software across multiple environments
• Designs and develops new patterns or improve the existing solutions to formulate some best practices.
• Work closely with the Agile team to support the delivery of new capabilities
• Ensures compatibility between equipment and software, analyzes operational/system requirements, supports design reviews, and presents technical briefings.
• Engineers systems, including conducting of prototypes, proof of concepts, or the full implementation of systems.
• Evaluates, assesses, documents, and tests data security and continuity of operations for systems and programs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma along with specialized technical knowledge or training.
• 2 years of experience in developing front end applications.
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS within modern front-end frameworks required.
• At least six years of experience analyzing requirements from users and producing system specifications developing analysis models using Unified Modeling Language (UML) or other data modeling standards.
• At least one year of experience with user story development or analysis in an agile development environment.
• At least seven years of experience with task specified programming languages (e.g., Java, C , C#, SAS, etc.).
• At least seven years coding experience with SQL or database stored procedure.
• At least five years of experience in module or unit testing including executing and documenting the testing.
• At least five years of experience in the design and development of applications.
• At least five years in either data warehousing, distributed processing, logical and physical database design, software integration, or implementation of security techniques.
• At least five years of experience in the evaluation or comparison of various technologies (e.g. client/server, multi-tiered architectures, database architectures, and structures, etc.) and their appropriateness for a wide variety of business requirements.
• Broad, in-depth knowledge of current network, development and database architectures and technologies.
• Experience with Internet/Intranet protocols and web server technologies, if required.
• Experience developing systems architectures preferred.
• Experience as a technical leader of software engineering or computer professionals, as required.
