We are seeking a Medical Assistant with experience to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be working closely with physicians to provide excellent patient care while accurately documenting patient encounters with physicians and other healthcare providers. This position will be primarily in Muncie, New Castle and Marion but need to be willing and able to travel to Kokomo and Richmond if needed.
Duties:
- Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician
- Room patient and take vitals
- Retrieve lab results, imaging reports, and other patient data for review by the physician
- Assist with patient flow throughout the clinic
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy required
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in ECW preferred
- Medical Assistant certification
