Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing Non-Portfolio-Related Development, DevOps and IT Projects. This includes ensuring Development and IT project completion is happening within a timely and efficient manner; as well as executing on all projects assigned. The Project Manager needs to develop and present strong, concise project plans that are attainable and maintainable. The Project Manager is also responsible for coordinating our maintenance CI/CD release schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Development and IT leadership to develop realistic project plan goals and timelines
    • This includes defining scope, resources, and milestones necessary
  • Provide reporting on project status and projected timelines
  • Review for potential project and process roadblocks
  • Coordinate non-portfolio deployments in SDLC alongside DevOps Management
  • Keep team accountable for deadlines and scheduled deployments
  • Provide Time/Cost Estimation
  • Facilitate incident reporting across Development and IT
  • Coordinate Batch Active improvement/bug focuses
  • Provide application support to internal customers
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating development projects preferred
  • 1-3 years leadership role experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with SQL or other database query language preferred
  • Familiarity with Linux/Bash preferred
  • Experience with large datasets preferred
  • Experience with high volume, mission critical applications preferred
  • Experience with version control (GIT, CVS) preferred
  • Decent understanding of development best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Education/Experience

Applicants should have at least 1-3 years of experience in a leadership role.

A high school diploma or GED required. PMP not required but is a plus. A bachelor's degree is not required, but preferred. More than anything, RMS is looking for people who are passionate about technology who want to develop the skills to solve hard and important problems.

Relevant work experiences a plus. Experience with above or any programming language is not required, but it is strongly preferred and suggested. Travel expectations are minimal.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in the written form. The employee is physically required to utilize a laptop and other electronic devices effectively. The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (laptop computer, bag, and accessories). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
