We’re Looking for a culinary director for our restaurant on East 6th. We’re working on opening more concepts and would love a responsible driven chef to join the team moving forward. Must be able to travel to other locations. Responsible for weekly inventory and food costs.Must be able to handle pop-up dinners of 20-39 people. Start immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Manage and supervise a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff
- Ensure high-quality food is consistently delivered to customers
- Develop and maintain standard recipes and portion control to ensure consistency in food quality and cost control
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train and mentor staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced food service environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, management, and customers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Understanding of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special dietary needs
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a food service setting
