We have a direct hire opening for a Senior Staff Accountant in the South Sound area at a public CPA and consulting firm. This is a 1st shift opening!

This full-service CPA firm provides a wide range of services including accounting, tax, assurance, and consulting services to many industries including health care professionals, insurance agencies, construction, closely-held businesses, small businesses, and more.

Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client’s payroll from Day 1!

Salary and Shift Information:

• Salary: $75K–$100K/a year with both annual and profit-sharing bonuses
• 1st Shift: Mon-Fri with a flexible hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote

Job Duties of the Senior Staff Accountant:

• Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates
• Ensure tax returns comply with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Offer support in developing strategies that minimize each client’s tax liabilities
• Collaborate with senior staff to provide support on IRS representation and tax resolution for clients facing complex tax issues
• Assist in the compilation and review of financial statements for a variety of clients
• Support internal control reviews and engage in fraud prevention studies to enhance client financial security and compliance
• Participate in agreed-upon procedures engagements that offer customized financial statement or system analysis for clients
• Be committed to continuous learning to stay updated on tax laws, accounting standards, and best practices in assurance services

Job Requirements of the Senior Staff Accountant:

• Have 3-5 years of experience in public accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Strong foundation in tax preparation and accounting principles
• Proficient in the use of accounting software, QuickBooks, CCH Access Tax, and Microsoft Office Suite
