Research Foundation Suny is Hiring a Research Assistant-Full Time (R23-77) Near Albany, NY

The full-time Research Assistant is expected to:

  • Perform in vitro and in vivo electrophysiology experiments.
  • Perform molecular biology and imaging experiments including but not limited to: stereotaxic surgery, immuno-labeling, Western blot, perfusions, dissections, laser scanning microscopy.
  • Work together and train undergraduate students in the lab.
  • Participate actively in lab meetings and planning sessions and read scientific literature.
Job Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, physics or related science from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • PhD degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Previous neuroscience training

Salary
: $40,000 - $50,000 DOE
