Job Description

Job Description

As the Sales Manager for Electric Vehicle Battery Services, you will lead the sales efforts to promote and sell battery-related services for electric vehicles. You'll be pivotal in expanding our market presence, driving revenue growth, and establishing long-term relationships with clients in the rapidly evolving EV industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on electric vehicle battery services. Identify target markets, set sales objectives, and develop strategic initiatives to achieve revenue targets.
  2. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the electric vehicle battery services market. Actively prospect for new clients via cold calling, social media, attending tradeshows & conferences to assess their needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including EV OEMs, Fleet operators, Battery OEMs, and other stakeholders in the EV ecosystem. Understand their needs, provide solutions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Product Knowledge and Expertise: Stay up to date on the latest developments in electric vehicle battery technology, including battery chemistry, performance characteristics, and safety considerations. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company's battery services offerings and their value proposition to potential clients.
  5. Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the electric vehicle battery services industry. Utilize data and analytics to inform sales strategies and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Understanding of EV truck classes and typical EV OEM go-to-market strategy, channel strategy, service/support strategy.
  • Experience working in a ‘Start-up’ culture.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, preferably within the Electric Vehicle or advanced clean transportation technology, with a focus on battery technologies.
  • Understanding of electric vehicle battery technology, including battery chemistry, performance characteristics, and safety considerations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in sales forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Up to 50% travel expected in this role.
