⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Manufacturing/Engineering Quality Manager up to $100K Based on Experience⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our well-established manufacturing client is seeking a Quality Manager to join their growing team! This is a full-time, first shift role near the Albany, NY, area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience managing quality control in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities of the Quality Manager will include:
- Maintain and enhance quality system, including ISO 9001-2015 certification
- Supervise quality system, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture focused on quality
- Coordinate and conduct regular and through quality audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure quality standards are being met
- Implement lean and continuous improvement principles within the quality process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for optimization, and root causes of defects
- Conduct and revise risk assessments
- Implement risk management strategies to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks
- Lead corrective and preventative action initiatives to address issues and improve overall product quality
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, and make recommendations to update best practices and improve overall quality management system
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications for the role of Quality Manager:
- 3 years' quality management experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with ISO and/or AS9100 quality systems
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, operations, or a related field
- A quality certification such as CQA, CQE, CMQ, or CSSBB is preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of quality systems, including ISO certification, control plan development, design and process FMEA creation, and KPI management
- Understanding of demand planning, materials management, and quality assurance systems within a production environment.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean, and/or Six Sigma methodologies as applied to manufacturing, such as value stream mapping
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and a drive for success
- Ability to use project management tools and Microsoft Office applications to track progress and manage resources
- Able to regularly lift or move 10-50 lbs; able to occasionally lift or move 100 lbs
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
