RE-SOURCES, Inc is Hiring a Medical Cart Technician Near Cleveland, OH

Title: Assembly Technician/Maintenance Assembly Technician/Medical Assembly Technician

Summary: The Medical Assembly Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining various hospital equipment such as hospital computer carts, wall-mounted patient point-of-care solutions, and accessories.

Essential Duties:

  • Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
  • Test equipment required for testing all new and suspected faulty cable connections and cable infrastructure.
  • Run, pull, stop, and splice copper and fiber optic cables, such as CAT5 and low voltage cables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Take precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit of components.
  • Test the functionality of the final product.
  • Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
  • Keep a clean and tidy workspace.
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Maintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3 years of assembly/mechanical experience such as copier/printer field tech, furniture set-up or assembly or installation, computer or printer set-up or installation, etc.
  • Experience in commercial, office, and resident finish construction.
  • Skilled in carpentry, mechanical assembly, and electrical cable installation.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of financial responsibility.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with hand tools.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Basic electronic skills and possesses an excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • If offered a position, you must provide valid proof of a "negative" PPD skin test for tuberculosis.
  • Candidates should be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be able to provide an exemption.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Demand: The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
