POSITION OVERVIEW:
To provide support to the Human Resources Director and department through personnel-related administrative tasks.

II. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
This position requires extensive contact with others with a moderate degree of complexity as a regular part of the job. Incumbent must exercise considerable independence and judgment with occasional supervision under circumstances in which agency policy is either unclear or unwritten.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary characteristics in performing the job. Must have good mathematical aptitude, typing skill of at least 35 wpm, and able to operate most office and business machines. Must be knowledgeable of human resources software and computer systems. Must always maintain confidentiality as this position requires that all employee matters remain confidential.
III. SCREENING QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or AA degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and training; plus, two (2) years’ experience in human resources, preferably in a not-for-profit or governmental agency.
