Position OverviewThe Business Development Manager is responsible for fostering client relationships and expanding business accounts. Their primary goal is to identifygrowth opportunities, negotiate deals, and ensure long-term partnerships to drive revenue and achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the facility maintenance industry.

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives.

  • Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and engage with potential clients, understanding their facility maintenance needs.

  • Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new business.

  • Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client retention.

  • Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.

  • Utilize CRM tools to track and report on sales activities, pipelines, and outcomes.

  • Industry Networking:

  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and stay abreast of industry trends.

  • Represent the company in a professional manner, enhancing its visibility and reputation.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 years in business-to-businesssales, with a proven track record of successful sales experience.

  • 3 years in commercial maintenance, facility maintenance, electrical, or plumbing

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to cultivate and sustain strong client relationships.

  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards related to commercial maintenance services. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 years of business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success

  • 3 years of sales experience in commercial maintenance, facility maintenance, electrical or plumbing

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

  • Experience with consultative selling approaches, understanding customer pain points, and providing tailored solutions.

  • Established network within the commercial maintenance industry, including contacts with potential clients and industry influencers.

Work Expectation

  • Fieldwork: This position may require occasional travel to meet with clients, attend conferences, industry events, or visit remote company locations.

  • Remote Work: Some flexibility for remote work may be available, depending on the company's policies and the nature of the work. However, a substantial portion of the work is expected to be performed on-site at the office.

Schedule

This is a full-time position that typically operates during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. However, flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate business meetings, client needs, and occasional travel.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $70,000 – $80,000annually DOE commission

  • PTO and sick time
