Position Title: Inside Sales Representative
Exempt Status: Non Exempt
Accountable To: Customer Service Supervisor
Job Summary: The inside sales representative will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. You should be able to close sales and meet targets.
To be successful as an inside sales representative you should be able to build instant rapport, have knowledge of the food industry, and achieve customer satisfaction. A top inside sales representative should also be very competitive and a good listener.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and continuously improve product knowledge
• Stay up to date with product and service information and updates.
• Be empathetic with customers and team members
• Communicate promptly and effectively.
• Build relationships with potential and existing customers
• Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.
• Upsell products and services.
• Collaborate directly with assigned retail sales DSR’s

Education & Experience:

• Proven experience in sales, account management, or customer support.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail or restaurant food service or related position preferred

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the food service distribution business and associated terminology in all aspects of food distribution marketing, procurement, and logistics. However, consideration will be given to candidates who have experience with business analysis, business intelligence, and food marketing.
