Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility Manager to oversee and manage utility construction projects. The Utility Manager will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of utility projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and a thorough understanding of utility construction processes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage utility construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and clients
- Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and address any issues or concerns
- Manage project budgets and track expenses
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the job site
- Collaborate with design teams to review plans, blueprints, and schematics
- Utilize construction management software to track project milestones and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Utility Manager License in State of Georgia
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in utility construction management
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, coordination, and budgeting
- Proficient in using construction management software
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, contractors, and clients
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
