POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Staff Accountant

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Classification: Full-Time/Exempt/Salaried

Location: Support Center- On-Site, Blue Ash, OH

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Range USA Staff Accountant will play a key role in the Accounting department during an exciting period of high growth and process transformation. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong working knowledge of GAAP to apply principles of accounting, analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to maintain appropriate compliance and governance for the Company. The Staff Accountant will be a demonstrated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare internal financial statements in accordance with GAAP by analyzing information from the general ledger system and multiple sources.
• Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly general ledgers for multiple locations.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of bank activity
• Ensure all assigned responsibilities are supported with detailed documents and factual information
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and posting of journal entries, supporting schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Develop and implement world class accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes
• Serve as key accounting team member in closing the books in a timely manner
• Prepare and submit filings for various state taxes on a monthly and yearly basis
• Effectively communicate complex accounting transactions to nonfinancial managers

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2 years’ experience
• Knowledge of financial management and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel is required
