Job Summary

A healthcare compliance project manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to the support and maintenance of the department's corporate compliance program. The primary job is to provide administrative support for the department responsibilities to remain in full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports the development and implementation of compliance strategies: Identify and analyze applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards to support effective compliance strategies to meet the departments goals and objectives.
• Project planning and management: plan, execute, and manage compliance projects, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints. This includes defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
• Compliance assessment and risk management: support team with regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance, potential risks, and vulnerabilities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend changes to processes, policies, and procedures.
• Support the policy and procedure development: Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols that align with regulatory requirements. Ensure that these documents are up-to-date, communicated effectively, and consistently followed across the organization.
• Training and education: support the development and delivery of compliance training programs to employees, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance. Stay updated on the latest compliance trends, regulations, and best practices and disseminate this information to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaboration and communication: support the collaboration with different departments, including legal, human resources, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination in compliance efforts. Regularly communicate compliance updates, changes, and initiatives to relevant parties.
• Reporting and monitoring: Track compliance metrics, performance indicators, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to develop reports and dashboards for management. Monitor ongoing compliance activities and identify areas for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field.
• Some basic knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH Act, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and CMS guidelines.
• Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data privacy/ security.
• Prior experience in project management, a plus.

Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 / yr.
