This person must be able to work as line cook & assist with prep, primary responsibilities will be banquets & oversight of kitchen cleanliness & food safety standards
Duties-
- Prepare and cook food for banquets and events according to recipes and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the banquet team to plan menus and ensure timely delivery of food.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, portion control, and presentation.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of banquets and events.
- Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
- Monitor food quality during service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with team members and communicate effectively.
Requirements-
-SERV safe Certified
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or banquet setting as a cook or chef.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and shift management.
- Ability to supervise and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality food.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
