Quorn Foods is Hiring a Market Development Manager - US West Near Los Angeles, CA

Quorn Foods Inc. are delighted to be recruiting for a Market Development Manager to join our US based Sales team.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Market Development Manager (US West) is a key role responsible for in market sales and developing new and growing existing business with distributors by overseeing operations, increasing sales and market penetration, effective go to market strategy, and executing relevant trade related marketing activities to build a strong foothold in the US.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver agreed target revenue, growth projection and profitability for assigned area (US- West)
  • Establish and build strategic relationships and partnerships with various distributors and customers.
  • Manage distributors' orders and inventory assuring that orders are processed on time; ensure stocks arrive in a timely manner; and proper inventory and safety stock levels maintained to support market demand.
  • Assess distributors' market penetration and sales to ensure targets are met and adjust the plans as needed.
  • Oversee and plan promotion activities effectively within agreed budget.
  • Implement marketing program with the distributors and/or a 3rd party agency.
  • Generate monthly progress reports that highlight distributors’ performances and needed improvements and appropriate corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Provide timely market intelligence, proposes annual budget (including A&P) and business plan with forecast, target revenue, profit, and budget.
  • Ensure all accounts receivables are collected on time within the agreed payment terms.
  • Provide packaging label with the distributor in compliance with countries regulation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, intercultural, networking and negotiation skills.
  • 5-10 years of applicable experience in consumer goods distributor management and sales performance in Packaged Goods (or Fast Moving Consumer Goods)
  • Ability to travel more than 50% within and across multiple provinces/states/cities
  • Good business acumen and understanding of target market and competitive environment.
  • Highly organized and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
  • Goal-oriented and self-driven with strong sense of achievement and urgency to get things done.
  • Highly collaborative with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Possess a Growth mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Google equivalent.
