Position: CNC/Lathe Machinist
Location: Ashland, VA
Duration: Contract-to-Hire position after the 90 days is up
Shift Schedule: 1st Shift (10 hours a day, Saturdays are required)
Benefits/Incentive: Excellent benefits package if hired full time including 401K, ESOP, PTO, Health, Dental, Eye & Life Insurance
Pay Rate: $24.00/hr.
\nPrimary Job Function:
- CNC Machinist for the manufacturing of overhead cranes and components.
- Ability to read and interpret shop machining drawings.
- Ability to set up and run CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and drill presses working off shop drawings.
- Ability to hold tolerances to within .0005” as required.
- Able to use precision measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
- Consistently produce high-quality and accurate parts
- Show up to work on time every day.
- Work 10 hours per day, and Saturdays are required.
- Able to work safely in a heavy industrial environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Background check (7-year felony sex offender registry check)
- Drug test (5-panel lab test for recreational drugs & opiates)
