Quad Cities Ketamine Clinic in Davenport, IA is looking for one medical assistant to join our team on an as needed basis. We are located at 4626 Progress Drive, Ste A, Davenport, IA 52807. This role will handle various administrative tasks and will play an important role in communicating effectively with patients and maintaining an organized administrative schedule. This person will assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a Doctorate prepared Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist. They will prepare infusion rooms for the examination and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform opening and closing procedures for the practice to include: turning on systems, checking voicemail and returning calls, checking emails and responding in a timely manner, organizing reception areas, reviewing schedules and completing prep work for following day
• Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
• oversee the patient triage, from scheduling appointments and assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
• Prepare patients for infusion, take vitals, and record patients' health history
• Prepare equipment and infusion rooms and clean equipment and infusion rooms.
• Assist Practitioner with preparing patients for infusions, procedures, or exams
• Manage and order inventory of medical supplies and infusion rooms with appropriate supplies
• Responsible to administer Injections or perform lab draws as ordered directed by Practitioner.
• Answer call lights, take discharge vital signs and IV removal.
• Cleaning exam rooms between patients.
• Follow up with leads, help answer questions about our protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Degree in medical assistance
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Hours are PRN only, back- up when the current staff is on vacation or calls in sick.
