Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer to support research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement of aerial target systems, subsystems, and related equipment for the Threat Systems Management Office in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Works with the engineering team, utilizing the principles, theories, and general body of knowledge of software engineering to support the design, development, and manufacturing of new aerial target systems.
• Works in one or more of the phases of developing software used in products or services provided to external customers.
• Develops applications or works with operating system software to improve the performance of aerial target systems.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3 years of hands on experience in software development/engineering supporting the operation/functionality of hardware systems.
• Active DOD Secret or higher clearance. #qinetiqclearedjob

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of military standards in system and subsystem development.
• Knowledge of aerial target systems.
