Job Title: Maintenance Technician Supervisor
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
GENERAL:
This maintenance role is extremely important for Company success by way of exercising an effective preventive maintenance program, keen troubleshooting ability and accurately repair equipment all in an effort to minimize each piece of equipment’s downtime. Will provide assistance and support to Maintenance Manager.
Job qualifications:
· Experience as a maintenance technician in the heat treat or industrial machining industry preferred but not mandatory
· Working knowledge of combustion, pumps, motors, hydraulics, electrical schematics, gear boxes, chain drives, PLC, etc. (any of the above)
· Troubleshooting experience with PLC Equipment (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron)
· Experience with Variable Frequency Drives
· Experience with automated machines and understanding of AC/DC Drives, photo eyes and transducers
· Demonstrate the ability to operate Company fork truck effectively and safely
· Be detail oriented towards all job functions as directed by Manager and Company Management
· May be required to work overtime including weekends, as well as support varying shifts
· Must have ability to report to work on-time, follow direction, participate in training opportunities, communicate effectively amongst all Company employees/departments and adhere to Company rules and/or policies
· Education – High school education or equivalent preferred but NOT REQUIRED
Specific Duties:
· Fully support both the Q-Tech Heat Treat, LLC. Mission Statement and Quality Statement
· Ensure all facility equipment is operational and if not, troubleshoot, repair in a timely manner
· Take direction from Maintenance Manager or Company Management
· Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance inspections on each piece of equipment as directed by Manager
· Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
· Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
· Notify Manager or Company Management immediately when equipment issues are observed and need tending to (issuance of Maintenance Work Request)
· Maintain a clean and organized work space whether it be in designated Maintenance dept and/or working remotely on an individual piece of equipment; clean up area and return all tools to proper location
· Promote good housekeeping practices
· Assist with Company inventory by ensuring product is labeled, tagged, documented upon receipt. As well as, stored in proper location per Manager’s directive
· Accurately document all completed maintenance, modifications and repairs along with repair part numbers of product used on Maintenance Work Order Request
· Maintain equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, etc; return to Manager upon completion
· Participate in daily Maintenance Staff meetings at start of each shift or as directed by Manager
· May be requested to run Company errand to pick up supplies, part/s, materials to facilitate maintenance functions
· Responsible for Company tools and equipment when checked out; employee responsible for replacement tool charges when lost, damaged or stolen
· Effectively and safely operate Company fork truck
· Adhere to and promote the Company’s Safety Program
· This position will allow for cross training and development of additional skills
This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:
Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an office/industrial environment
· Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform required job functions
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity and other industrial environments
