A large-scale service center in Oklahoma City provides vulnerable Oklahomans with a range of supports for gaining or improving their employment situations or strengthening families, two areas where Public Strategies is widely respected for its implementation of research-informed solutions. Other team members provide training and technical assistance to hundreds of government agencies and/or programs across the country that are working to become change agents in either the human services or employment fields, with PS providing expertise in performance management, best practices, and effective adult learning strategies. The Marketing Specialist provides communications/marketing expertise and support, including client relations, strategic planning, market research, content creation, social media and digital engagement, analytics, and project management.

Essential Job Functions

• Create high-impact digital, social and email media campaigns, monitoring and adjusting as needed to ensure optimal performance
• Assist marketing team leads in conceptualizing, coordinating and implementing strategic communications plans, campaigns and materials
• Develop creative, research-informed strategies and approaches that drive results
• Research and make media placementsdigital, television, radio, social media, etc.
• Create content for ad copy, social media, websites, proposals and other materials
• Track relevant marketing trends and emerging tools/technologies
• Set up tasks to ensure effective communication, workflow, quality and timeliness
• Design and implement social media campaigns, including strategy, messaging, analytics and advanced targeting
• Help develop, present and implement communications materials for clients and new business prospects
• Assist with printing, production, market research, photography, video and presentations as requested

• Bachelors degree, required
• Applicable degrees include journalism, public relations, mass communications, marketing or related field

• 3 years of experience working in a marketing capacity, required

• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive, detail-driven environment
• Exceptional creative and strategic abilities
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative integrated marketing strategies that advance client objectives
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to write for diverse audiences
• Outstanding social and digital media skills, including content creation, targeted advertising, analytics and optimization
• Prior experience with email platforms such as MailChimp or Constant Contact
