The Associate Manager position will support the Finance Shared Services, Accounting & Analysis (FSS A&A) Team. This position will provide the candidate exposure to Prudential's annuities business and products, as well as STAT and GAAP SEC financial reporting requirements.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of general ledger close responsibilities, which can include review and approval of journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare specific balance sheet and income statement driver analyses and reconciliations (i.e., Actuarial drivers, GAAP trending and variances, etc.)
Seek out and/or identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by instituting standard methodologies in processes
Support quarterly/annual audits by Internal Audit, as well as independent external auditors
Maintain internal control standards to ensure compliance with Enterprise Accounting Policies and Procedures
Support special projects, initiatives and ad-hoc report and analysis requests
Responsible for maintenance of standard operating procedures
Champion FSS values and process design principles with staff and business partners
Ability to work overtime during peak periods
Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
4 - 6 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
A good understanding of GAAP and/or Statutory accounting principles
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities under challenging time frames
Possess excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent Interpersonal, collaborative and business partnering skills
Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented while maintaining a big picture perspective
Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel
Advanced degree or designation (MBA, CPA) or pursuit towards
Insurance and/or Investment experience a plus
Experience with Prudential Financial systems a plus (Oracle, Essbase

The salary range for this role is from $86,300.00 to $128,400.00.
