Proxima is building strategic partnerships with the best brands, agencies and technology companies in the eCommerce industry. Our partner ecosystem is significant, and fast-growing, part of Proximas core revenue strategy - empowering deal flow via referrals, maximizing collaboration with partners, and continuously expanding Proxima’s footprint in new markets and segments

As the Director of Partnerships, you will have the exciting opportunity to spearhead the growth of Proxima’s partner ecosystem. We are already seeing success from our existing partnership efforts, but as the first Partnerships hire at Proxima, you will be responsible for developing and orchestrating go-to-market strategies that strengthen our market presence, expand Proxima’s integrated offerings, create first-class partner experiences, and drive substantial revenue growth for both Proxima and our partners. Your job is to pour gasoline on existing efforts.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be a highly visible and independent thought leader, mentor, and operator playing a key role in leading and scaling the Partner team.

What You'll Do

  • Attend and organize industry events to grow your network, expand Proxima’s market presence, and to open sale’s opportunities with high value brands. (You can expect to travel up to 50% of the time per quarter)
  • Launch new partner programs that deliver value-driven partner experiences, expand Proxima’s partner ecosystem, and increase overall output of our partner network. 
  • Identify opportunities and develop playbooks to grow joint business through go-to-market initiatives and Proxima resources: co-marketing, co-selling etc.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for partnerships, regularly reporting on the success and impact of partnership initiatives. 
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize partnership programs and improve overall performance.
  • Forge and cultivate strategic relationships with c-suite leaders across our ecosystem. 
  • Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication to team and company on various partnership initiatives.
  • Represent Proxima with partners externally, and be an active voice for Proxima in the ecommerce ecosystem. 
  • Drive initiatives that enhance our market positioning, drive revenue growth, and maximize partner ecosystem engagement.
What We Need
  • Consistent track record successfully building, developing, inspiring, and managing high-performing partner/channel sales teams in Direct- to-Consumer environments.
  • Strong understanding of the eCommerce landscape (for example: agency, platform), experience in Paid Social Media Buying and Analytics is a major plus! 
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-Suite executives, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • 3 years experience in leading strategic partnerships, building channel sales programs, and orchestrating GTM motions.
  • Comfortable having uncomfortable conversations, and are able to walk the fine line between high standards and humility, between empathy and expectations. 
  • A self-motivated and responsible individual who will represent the company with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the business value of solutions that target stakeholders' specific goals and challenges.
  • Energy, Creativity, Curiosity: Ability to work in a high energy, fast-paced sales environment. You think out-of-the-box and wow people with your interesting angles and quality of work. You thrive off of the constant ability to learn and grow.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable partnership strategies.
  • Tools: Experience working on the following platforms: Salesforce, Apollo, Excel/Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and Hubspot
  • Bachelor’s Degree

$200,000 - $250,000 a year
The total compensation for this role ranges from $200,000/year to $250,000/year. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, skills and experience. The base salary is just one component of Proxima’s compensation package which includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits, as well as equity.
