Providence is Hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager Near Newberg, OR

Description

This is a full time, day shift role in the Maternity Services department.

$8,000 hiring bonus and relocation for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

The Associate Nurse Manager in collaboration with the Nurse Manager is accountable for the twenty-four-hour operations of designated department(s). Performs all activities in a manner that supports a collaborative quality improvement process enhancing quality patient care. Promotes team concept and performs duties in a manner which reflects the philosophy of the Department of Nursing and the sisters of Providence Mission and Core Values. Assists and works directly with the nursing staff to ensure the delivery of quality, cost-effective care to patients. Demonstrates a wide range of general, unit-specific and management skills, including application of the nursing process. Provides leadership for the operation of the nursing unit. Leads and develops the staff by the role-modeling professional practice and effective management skills. Provides input into and helps achieve unit goals. Fulfills roles expectations and principal duties of the Registered Nurse job description. Is accountable to organize, prioritize, direct and evaluate the delivery of patient care of designated department. In a composed and confident manner, role models and mentors' staff toward independence in practice, accountability for outcomes and coordination of the multidisciplinary team. Acts as a clinical resource and advocate. Creates an atmosphere of confidence and organization in an environment with multiple stimuli. Assumes duties in the absence of the Nurse Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing.

  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • Experience in a nursing supervisory role.
