Propayhr is Hiring a HRIS Payroll Specialist Near Evanston, IL

Our HRIS Payroll Specialist will be responsible for assisting the HRIS Department in supporting the development, implementation, testing, management and optimization of all aspects of the Paycor HRIS system, with new and existing clients at ProPay HR.

This person will help us deliver outstand Payroll Services to our Small and Medium size Business clients by providing training and system technical support. This person will proactively solve issues with various levels of stakeholders.

At ProPay HR we work with each client to bring a true understanding of everything related to their Payroll Process. We interact with our clients at multiple levels within the organization – consulting on best practices and innovations. We offer fully outsourced managed payrolls service/data management, tax filing, direct deposit, new hire reporting, time & attendance/time clock, Garnishment processing, and much more.

Hybrid - Remote & In Office

  • 2 day's - Remote able to work from home
  • 3 days at our office in Evanston, IL 60202
  • Are you looking for flexibility? We are a Monday thru Friday office, but you have the flexibility to start you day anywhere between 7am to 9am

Essentials for Success:

  • This position is responsible for the collection, data integrity, control, accurate processing and audit of data in supporting our Paycor HRIS clients. This is done by ensuring development, implementation, testing, management and optimization of all aspects of the Paycor HRIS technology.
  • Act as liaison regarding upgrading to Paycor’s HRIS database, with new and existing clients. Providing quality customer service using established guidelines and tools.
  • 3 years of experience in processing payroll - Payroll end to end Payroll knowledge required.
  • This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users.
  • Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability. Identifies, understands, and escalates problems as they arise, seeking support as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and the ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively formulating a strategy to circumvent issues that arise – attention to detail is paramount.
  • Creating a Project roadmap and timeline of setting up clients with HRIS, from beginning to end.
  • Strong Communication is a Must - Being extremely communicative and clear when troubleshooting or walking users though the system.
  • Coordinating with client and internal teams to set up, maintenance, enhancements, issues, and queries.
  • Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills, needing to understand how the clients want their workflows and documents to be set up in the Paycor HRIS system. If there is an issue that arises, understand how to solve the problem.
  • Understanding the different processes and steps that need to be taken to set clients up with access to different areas of the system, very sensitive information so needs to ensure that the correct steps are being taken.
  • Active Listening to client needs and explaining the technical set up. Trouble shooting any issues that arise based on business needs.
  • Being able to multi-task on several large and or small projects, with the ability to complete those tasks timely and efficiently but also understanding when to ask for help. Project management skills are a must to succeed.
  • Having a thorough understanding of the Paycor system and being able to provide training or refreshers to clients as needed.
  • Understanding the different processes and steps that need to be taken to set clients up with access to different areas of the system. Ensuring all appropriate steps are taken when handling extremely sensitive information.
  • Investigates and corrects potential interface errors from all systems.
  • Runs various audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Responds to HRIS questions via phone/email and is responsible for issue resolution with a high degree of service, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Interfaces with management, employees, and other Payroll team members.
  • Identifies, suggests, and implements ongoing process improvements.
  • Continuing to maintain knowledge and continuing education on enhancements in order to provide clients with the best experience.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.
