Prominent Properties Sotheby S International R is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Ridgewood, NJ

Summary:
The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Generalist will manage company payroll and benefits using their strong organization and communication skills. They will act as new employee liaison, enthusiastically guiding new hires through the onboarding experience, and will recruit potential candidates with the same passion and enthusiasm. The Human Resources Generalist will utilize their strong desire to help others, acting as the first point of contact for all HR related matters. Responsibilities:

Payroll Benefits
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, COBRA, and leave policies
  • Manage the annual benefits renewal
  • Manage and update payroll information for employees
  • Assist employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment processes

Employee Relations
  • Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their questions and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and providing guidance on disciplinary actions

Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Work directly with managers to help facilitate interviews and track applicants in the company’s HRIS, ADP Workforce Now
  • Act as a liaison between new employees and the company
  • Quickly get new employees up to speed on our company policies, payroll, health insurance benefits, and standard employment paperwork

HR Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements
  • Support internal departments with requests and outside companies for required compliance
  • Assist in required audit preparation for workers compensation and other mandatory reporting

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Proficient in New Jersey Employment laws
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passionate about helping people
  • Motivated work ethic, capable of working under pressure
  • Ability to identify effective approaches to facilitate building processes to increase efficiency and quality
  • Desire to learn about real estate and the Northern New Jersey market
