Are you a software engineer who enjoys tackling hard problems? Promaxo, a diverse, passionate, and growing team, is seeking a motivated professional to fill our newly created Senior Software Engineer position. You will significantly contribute to building next generation point-of-care MRI systems with sophisticated mechanical, electrical, robotic and software components.
Your primary responsibilities include:

• Design and build new software features for an innovative robotic medical imaging platform
• Develop multi-threaded programs and test tools in Python or C
• Data structure design and implementations
• Documentation, program readability, code flow diagrams, sequence diagrams
• Collaborate with software, imaging, product, data science, and clinical teams to gather needs and implement features for image-guided navigational tools for our robotic systems
• Understand, explore and integrate open-source APIs for development

Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 5-7 years professional experience programming in python, C , and related languages in a Linux-based environment
• Experience with software development tools (gdb, gcc, git, IDE etc.)
• Hands-on experience with low-level code development for embedded systems/instrumentation control with multithreading.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data structures and algorithms
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills
• Able to work independently on coding solutions, but comfortable seeking help or input from the team when necessary
