Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing payments and maintaining vendor relationships. This is a key role within our organization, and we are looking for someone who is highly organized, has strong attention to detail, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely payment

- Review and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies

- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions

- Prepare and process weekly check runs

- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any payment-related issues or inquiries

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as SOX regulations

- Assist with payroll management and accounts receivable when necessary

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of ADP, Ceridian, or similar payroll software

- Familiarity with technical accounting principles and practices

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
