Prolink is partnered with a reputable automotive manufacturer in the search for a skilled Asssistant QC Manager. This is a full-time, direct-hire opening. Candidates should possess 5 years of Quality Control within an automotive environment, supervisory experience and a strong understanding of statistical control and analysis.

This is a crucial role in ensuring our products meet strict compliance and quality standards. The individual in this position will develop and manage a quality control team who they will work closely with to solve manufacturing issues and implement quality systems while always striving to exceed our customers’ expectations.

Core Responsibilities:

· Analyze quality data and make decisions in support of manufacturing including assisting with daily production issues, line OA improvements, and defect part and equipment investigations.

· Collaborate with different teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

· Manage a team of 20 members which includes engineers and technicians.

· Assist with purchase orders, equipment purchases and repair planning.

· Conduct regular audits and patrols to identify areas for improvement.

· Interact with customers and suppliers including presentations.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
• 5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment required; automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role required.
• Must be fluent in APQP, PPAP, FMEA’s, SQ9000/TS16949.

· Expert knowledge of SPC and MSA.

• Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and relative standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
