Pro Shop is Hiring a Remote Vice President, Finance

Location: Flexible. Pro Shop has or will have offices in Los Angeles, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and New York City, but location there is not required.

We will combine golf media, production and commerce businesses, aiming to be the ultimate destination for golf enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels, where they can immerse themselves in the essence of sport. As we continue our rapid expansion, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Finance to lead our finance team. 
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Finance will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities and other finance-related functions at Pro Shop across our various brands. This position will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and driving informed decision-making to ensure sustainable growth and profitability. 
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's overall short-term and long-term objectives and growth plans. 
2. Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making and drive financial performance. 
3. Organizational Management. Develop systems and efficiencies across the Pro Shop holding company and operating business subsidiaries. Assist with governance and intercompany affairs. 
4. Fundraising & Capital Management: Assist with fundraising activities, including venture capital, debt financing and acquisition finance. Manage relationships with investors and financial institutions to optimize capital structure and funding opportunities. 
5. Performance Management: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor business performance, analyze variances, and provide strategic insights to senior management.
6. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly/quarterly management reporting, board presentations, and investor updates. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. 
7. Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic plans, conducting scenario analysis and modeling to evaluate potential opportunities and risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment opportunities, product pricing, and business development initiatives. 
8. Tax Planning & Compliance: Work closely with external tax advisors to develop tax- efficient strategies and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. 
9. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Implement effective cash management strategies to optimize working capital efficiency. Develop and oversee company’s accounts receivable and payment systems. 
10. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
2. Proven track record of success in senior finance roles, with at least 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, including leadership experience. 
3. Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations. 
4. Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising, capital management, and investor relations. 
5. Experience with holding company structures, intercompany affairs and governance. 
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate financial concepts to diverse audiences, including senior executives and investors. 
7. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance best practices. 
8. Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience building and developing high- performing teams. 
9. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis. 10. Experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred.
