Pro Resources is seeking a Production Manager for a client in Elkhart, IN. The person filling this position would be responsible for managing the employees (15-20 depending on time of year) and work flow in/out of the production floor. Shift and Compensation

• Monday-Friday 6AM-2 PM
• $50-60K (negotiable)

Job Duties

• Develops among assigned personnel the need for team work to attain department objectives
• Reviews daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments for the day
• Supervises and directs personnel on the shift in performing operations according to quality procedures,

safety factors, and company procedures

Determines causes of delays in production schedules and reports to General Manager

Prepares required forms for shift and submits to General Manager
*
Contacts Maintenance for required repair work on equipment or replacement of tools needed
*
Works with General Manager to determine causes and apply corrective measures for operations not meeting productivity requirements or cost savings
*
Interviews applicants for department jobs and recommends for hiring
*
Maintains good housekeeping
*
Performs cross-training of employees
*
Coordinates and/or performs inspections of in-process or completed work for accuracy
*
Achieves and maintains thorough knowledge of processes and equipment
*
Organizes work for smooth operations
*
Verifies correct identification, weights, packaging, of materials shipped from the facility

Troubleshoots problems
Background Profile

• Proven work history in a manufacturing setting and supervising production employees
• Cannot be color blind (we work with wires of different colors which must be differentiated for accuracy)
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to read/write/speak English fluently
• Leadership and Communication Skills
• Ability to operate tow motor/powered industrial truck/forklift a plus
• Experience with injection molding a plus
• Minimum of High School Diploma required
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, walk, stand, stoop, bend, overhead reaching on a regular basis with exposure to heat/cold/humidity in a factory/warehouse setting
