- Lead and mentor a team of warehouse technicians.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and use proper equipment.
- Report and address safety concerns promptly to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety training for new employees.
- Analyze warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement efficient workflows to increase productivity while reducing errors.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Additional areas of responsibilities:
- Inventory management and reporting
- Regulatory compliance
- Quality Control
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in warehouse management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a warehouse technician or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects (100 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The work environment may involve exposure to various indoor and outdoor temperature conditions.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet operational needs.
