PRMA Plastic Surgery is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near San Antonio, TX

Job description
Are you a master of numbers, a wizard of spreadsheets, and a lover of all things finance? We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to contribute to the success of our organization.
At PRMA Plastic Surgery, we are a leading healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and cutting-edge breast reconstruction procedures, including DIEP flap, High-Definition DIEP flap, SIEA flap, GAP flap, TUG flap, PAP flap, LTP flap, fat grafting, direct-to-implant, nipple-sparing mastectomy, and lymphedema surgery. We also perform cosmetic procedures. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your exceptional accounting skills and contribute to the financial success of our organization.
This is a full-time onsite position that reports to the CFO and CEO. The primary focus in this position will be to perform all payroll functions, reviewing of vendor invoices for accuracy, entering invoices in Sage 50, preparing checks etc. The ideal candidate is somebody who feels drawn to a mission of inclusion, can work with a variety of people, is persistent, and who is willing to create and install needed infrastructure. Responsibilities:
  • Assists the CFO with accounting, bookkeeping, clerical and data entry tasks as needed.
  • Assist with month end reporting initially with the goal to take over month end closing processes, to include bank reconciliation statements for three entities.
  • Experience with accrual accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Assists the CFO and Human Resources Generalist implement new infrastructure and establish appropriate procedures in a rapidly growing organization. Such items include, profit sharing plan administration and benefits payroll deductions etc.
  • Implement a new payroll system to integrate with time management system recently implemented.
  • Performs a detailed monthly review of all general ledger trial balance reports. Identifies questions requiring research and items requiring accounting correction. Initiates prepaid accounting amortization and revenue recognition around deferred revenue where appropriate.
  • Works with entity owner’s finance team, responding to all accounting questions, trail balance edits, performing transaction research as required.
  • Respond to all audit requests, support and provide responses to detailed selections where appropriate.
  • Assist CFO with budget preparation each year.
  • Assist CFO with various and sundry special projects.
  • Reconciles, researches, and obtains source documents related to notes payable; ensures timely payments, compliance and communications.
Mandatory and Desired Qualifications Education/ Training:
Software skills: Understands the Microsoft Suite of products, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of Power Point is a plus. Intermediate Excel user; advanced user (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) very helpful. Internet savvy and resourceful. Background with SAGE .
Job Skills / Working Style: Highly organized, driven, extremely detailed, thrives in a fast-paced environment, highly adaptable. Possess the ability to see possibilities for improved processes and efficiencies. Willing to take a few extra minutes to properly describe and document transactions. Good communicator and excellent listener. Persistent. Willing to follow up multiple times if needed and willing to escalate issues where people are non-responsive.
The individual entering this role should be comfortable in an environment that encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Analyst will work with a wide variety of people with differing skills, talents and abilities, backgrounds and will be most effective if comfortable doing so. The candidate should plan to work in the office environment five days a week.
Business Skills: Strong general knowledge in business. Possess the ability to observe a business situation and see accounting, data management, and communication implications. Takes action to gain appropriate information timely and accurately. Cost conscious, adhering to budget guidelines and projections. People with a Public Accounting background are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience and credentials:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related discipline required.
  • Being a CPA or CPA candidate is not necessary, but would be a plus.
  • A minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience working in accounting, ideally public accounting in accrual accounting is needed. Graduate level work or degree is helpful.
