Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate service-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant, inclusive, and community - focused team. As the first point of contact for our health clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a wlecoming manner, ensuring all interactions are handled with sensitivty for all gender identities and sexual orientations.
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and reschudling efficiently. Coordinate with medical and behavioral health providers to optimize the clinics schedule.
- Accurately enter and update patient information in the electronic health records (EHR) system. Comply with all HIPAA regualations.
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly. Provide accurate information about the clinix's services and direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and copying documents. Supporting the clinic by maintaing cleanliness and organization.
- Demonstrate an understadning of and commitment to the unique of the LGBTQ community. Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance cultural competency skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or certification in medical administration preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred. Experience working with the LGBTQ community is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
