Job Description

Our Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of airport operations, ensuring efficient and safe airport functioning. This role involves managing a team of operations staff, coordinating with airlines and airport authorities, and implementing operational procedures and policies. The Operations Manager also plays a crucial role in crisis management, responding to emergencies and operational disruptions effectively. Additionally, this position requires continuous analysis and improvement of operational processes to enhance efficiency and passenger experience.

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS AN OPERATIONS MANAGER

* Oversee daily operations of the airport service team

* Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient airport operations

* Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and service quality

* Stand and walk for extended periods of time

* Ability to lift 70 pounds or more

* Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

* Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

* Minimum age of 18 years old

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in airport operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role

* In-depth knowledge of airport operational procedures and regulatory requirements

* Strong leadership and team management skills

* Excellent communication and decision-making abilities

* Proficient in using aviation-specific software and technology

* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle emergencies effectively

* Knowledge of the Aviation Industry is a plus

* Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets

* Ability to pass a drug screen

* Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
