Job Description

Our Aircraft Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for supervising the cleaning and maintenance of aircraft interiors and exteriors, ensuring that they meet specific hygiene and safety standards. This role involves coordinating and supervising a team of aircraft cleaners, providing training and support where necessary. The Aircraft Cleaner Lead also inspects aircraft after cleaning to guarantee the quality of work and compliance with airline and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, this position may require managing inventory of cleaning supplies, liaising with airline staff, and ensuring timely completion of cleaning tasks.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS AN AIRCRAFT CLEANING SUPERVISOR

  • You like working as a team, toward a common goal
  • Cleaning multiple different types of aircraft in a shift
  • Oversee and supervise teams of aircraft cleaners
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with aviation standards and safety regulations
  • Train new staff in aircraft cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment
  • Inspect aircraft cabins and exteriors for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues
  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stocks
  • Develop and implement efficient cleaning schedules to minimize aircraft downtime
  • You have very strong customer service skills
  • You have a great attention to detail
  • You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks
  • Like to build long term relationships with your customers
  • Physical activity may include:
    • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
    • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
    • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
  • 2 years of cleaning experience
  • Knowledge of different tools and chemicals used in cleaning
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
