Job Description:

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Carrollton, TX This is a 6 Months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment.

Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG’s.

Administer injections and collect specimen.

Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software.

Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork

Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures.

Must have qualifications/experience:

High School Diploma or GED

2 Medical Assistant Diploma

1 Year Recent Primary Care Experience

1 Year Recent Phlebotomy Experience

1 Year Recent Medication Administration Experience (Vaccinations)

Ability to commute to the office location.

Must obtain certification prior to conversion.
