Responsibilities:

• Assist the physician in patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
• Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical history, and documenting patient information accurately.
• Maneuver the c-arm at physician’s direction during procedures.
• Coordinate with the front desk to schedule appointments and manage patient records.
• Assist in managing medical supplies and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the examination rooms and common areas.
• Provide patients with clear instructions for pre- and post-procedure care.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably in pain management or a related field.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials preferred.
• Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and medical history.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and vendors.
• Detail-oriented and able to accurately document patient information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes and clinic needs.
• Experience with eCW strongly preferred.
